Hit And Run Driver Injures A Young Boy

» 1 Comment | Post a Comment

A 12-year old Piney Flats boy recovers from injuries tonight after being struck by a hit and run driver.
The youngster was riding his bicycle along Austin Springs Road near Huffman Road when he was struck from behind by someone in a light blue duelly pickup (that’s a truck with four wheels on the rear axle).  The boy’s mother says the driver yelled for him to stay off the road before driving off, leaving the boy sprawled in the road with injuries to both legs.

If you witnessed the incident, or can identify the driver of that light blue duelly truck, call the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department.

This is so upsetting, for someone to hit a animal is bad enough, BUT TO HIT A CHILD AND LEAVE HIM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. the man that did this I only pray that God will put a conviction on this person, that he can’t eat, sleep,or think about anything else, but only think of the child he hit and drove off. And turn himself in. I know this family and they don’t deserve this. My love and Prayers are with you all. Pam.
