Hampton High School Student Council is sponsoring a “Think Pink” day to support breast cancer awareness on Wednesday, Oct. 28.
In order to support breast cancer awareness, members will be wearing pink and taking donations to support the cause. All area schools, businesses, companies, etc., and anyone willing and able to participate is asked to join in the fight against breast cancer by wearing pink on this day. The “Think Pink” day is being held not only to support breast cancer awareness, but also to collect donations for the Carter County Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society.
“The majority of people in today’s society have been touched in some form or fashion by cancer,“ said event organizer Nathan Dugger. “Let’s join together to fight this disease. If everyone participating in Wednesday’s event donated $1 to Relay for Life events, just think of how much money we could raise for cancer research.“
PLEASE “Think Pink” on Wednesday, October 28 to show your support for breast cancer awareness, and ladies, this day is not just for you! Gentlemen please remember, real men wear pink!
Donations can be made to Hampton High School “Dawg Walkers” Relay for Life team to support the cause or call Hampton High School at (423) 725-5203.
