Governor Bredesen In East Tennessee Wednesday

Governor Phil Bredesen will tour the tri-cities region Wednesday.  His schedule includes the following events:

10:00 a.m.—Groundbreaking, “Governor’s Bend Assisted Living Facility” in Erwin, Tenn.

11:25 a.m.—Grant announcement, Dino’s Restaurant in Elizabethton, Tenn.  Bredesen will announce a $200,000 grant for the Roan Mountain Community Park.

1:00 to 4:00 p.m.—Task force on energy policy meeting, Meadowview Convention Center in Kingsport, Tenn.

*Rep. Kent Williams (R-4th Dist.) told News Channel 11, he wants to take Bredesen for a drive along Gap Creek Road.  The curvy two-lane road caused several accidents recently, some of them fatal, Williams said.
