Fire Damages Washington County, Virginia Motel

Firefighters chop through the roof of Deluxe Inn after a fire Monday morning damaged three rooms.

Fire damaged 3 rooms at the Deluxe Inn in Washington County, Virginia early Monday.

The fire started just before 7 a.m. at 15598 Lee Highway, Bristol, Virginia.

According to News Channel 11’s George Jackson, a motel guest noticed smoke and called the motel owner identified at Peter Shah.  Shah tried to extinguish the fire until Washington County Virginia Fire and Rescue Crews arrived, Chief Michael Morenings said.

The fire spread through a common attic space, damaging 3 rooms.

Investigators have not ruled on a cause.
