ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (AP) - A new father has secretly named his baby girl Sarah McCain Palin after the Republican ticket for president and vice president.
Mark Ciptak of Elizabethton put that name on the documents for the girl’s birth certificate, ignoring the name Ava Grace, which he and his wife had picked earlier.
“I don’t think she believes me yet,“ he told the Kingsport Times-News for a story to be published Tuesday. “It’s going to take some more convincing.“
Ciptak, a blood bank employee for the American Red Cross, said he named his third child after John McCain and Sarah Palin to “to get the word out” about the campaign.
“I took one for the cause,“ he said. “I can’t give a lot of financial support for the (McCain/Palin) campaign. I do have a sign up in my yard, but I can do very little.“

Hilarious! More anonymous comments complaining about America and the constitution. I am curious as to what part of the constitution says that I should pay for your health care or my own for that matter?
You do have the right to work and purchase your own health care, but please tell me why I should pay for anyone besides my family? Why should a wealthier man than me pay for my health care? A democrat once said “ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country” Those Democrats are all dead and gone.

But alas, you ( “You” In a general sense, the sum of the Country)wish to participate in hateful Partisan games and Capitalistic Hoarding, which easily goes hand in hand with this obvious 15minutes of fame grab (egotism, it’s funny, look it up) So don’t start complaining about the system you Bow to and (possibly) teach in, as it’s big bad dog eat dog Free Market out there in the real world, and little Johnny needs to know that Uncle Sam won’t be there to Pick him up and coddle him when he falls (or when he is injured on the Job or suffers a strong illness) but will just mock him and tell him that the Healthcare he can’t afford to have is much better than the offer of Federal funds to those w/o the luck to be on top of this dogpile.

Sounds to me like two DNA tests are needed here. One to determine if this fine Republican is a human and the next one to determine if he is the ‘daddy’......if the baby is lucky the second test will be ‘negative’..
How sad. If he and his wife both agreed on this name then that is their right. However, to go behind his wife’s back and change the name is absolutely disrespectful. What else would he do behind her back. He is using the media to promote his ignorance and disrespect for his wife. Whether he is ashamed of himself or not I am ashamed for him. It sounds as though he has no respect for his wife and his family. What does he mean he is “taking one for the cause”? It sounds as though he is wanting attention and his wife and daughter are suffering for it. A true defect in the human gene pool. What a loser!
What I thought was the worst aspect of this whole thing is that he deceived his wife, putting the paper she signed fully believing that they had chosen the name of their precious daughter together on the top of the stackas he walked out the door and then outside in the hall pulling out the hidden paper which they had previously signed but left the name part blank until they could figure out a name they both liked, pulling out that paper and putting the name he chose on her official birth registration for his own selfish political statment.
That is just plain dishonest. My question is—if he would do that to her on such an important family issue, what else is he deceiving her on? I suspect that when she enteres that voting booth in November, she will cast her vote for Obama simply as a protest against her husband. And I, should she ever decide to divorce this cheating man—not cheating on her with another woman that we know of, but cheating on her by violating her trust and his word to her—I, for one, will, if asked, contribute without hesitation to her divorce fund to hire the best lawyer she can find to make sure she and her children get a fair shake in the divorce process. Because, should it come to that, this guy will hide assets and lie. I just hope she is a strong woman because she has a rough road ahead of her with this guy.

People like that are those who cause children to grow up not believing in themselves. Apparently you were not taught to not call names, for it is those like you that cause our children to fail. I do hope that if you are a parent, that no one calls your child/newborn a loser as you have this child. I am sure that you would be up in their face… Have you heard some of the names children have in our schools today? Obviously you are not in the education field. ;0
