Drug Sting:  Agents Uncover More Than Two Pounds of Pot

Durg agents charged Justin Bennett and Samantha Depriest with possession of pot and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Washington County, Tennessee deputies busted two people with more than two pounds of pot.

Drug Enforcement Administration agents and Washington County investigators served a search warrant at 308 Orleans Street in Johnson City Wednesday afternoon.

Inside the home, they discovered more than 36 ounces of marijuana, digital scales, and baggies.

Investigators charged Justin A. Bennett, of the residence, with possession of drugs for resale and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

They also charged Samantha R. Depriest, of the residence, with possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

In addition to the drugs and drug paraphernalia, investigators also seized a small amount of cash.

I agree with Tnamstaff. There are a lot more things that washington county needs to worry about

I just wonder if they were as dissappointed in these two individuals as they were when THEIR OWN LEAD INVESTIGATOR(Sgt. Remine) was busted for having pot??? After doing his best to ruine my life ( which for the record, was dismissed!!!) while being a user hiself. Sounds like they should concentrate more on their own!!!

I can’t believe this even made the news. I wish that our local law enforcement would concentrate more on people who pose an actual threat to our community. It seems like a waste of time and taxpayers money to me.

2 lbs of pot. how much did this sting cost the taxpayers in total?
