Charges pending in fatal vehicle crash

Investigators told us this evening that charges are pending in a Wednesday morning crash that claimed the life of an East Tennessee State University administrator.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says the two car crash happened close to 8:30 at the intersection of Cherokee and Tommy Campbell Roads.

Investigators told us a vehicle driven by Mark Ledford of Jonesborough hit Nancy Robinson’s car head-on.

Robinson, Director for the Quillen Chair of Medicine in Geriatrics, died at an area hospital.

Ledford suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office CRASH Team continues to investigate.
