Bristol Virginia Police Department
Nov. 20

* A Russell Street man called police to say “there is a pit bull on his front porch and it isn’t his” at 8:30 p.m. He said the dog is aggressive and his neighbors said it was “chasing humans and animals.” The man called back 15 minutes later to report “the dog backed down from him and he is going to lure it off his porch,” but asked police to come by the next day to check on things.
* Someone called anonymously from Lee Highway to report a half a dozen kids in a blue van that “look like they want to fight.”
* A woman reported that a man hit a woman with a toilet paper roll, thus “the fight was on” at 10:30 p.m.

Bristol Tennessee Police Department
Nov. 21

* As a Bristol College Drive man walked from his car to his apartment, a half a dozen guys sprang out and started running toward him. He darted into his apartment and locked the door. But, when the pack reached his door, they started kicking it so he pushed a piece of furniture in front of it and called police. He said “he does not know why” the gentlemen were chasing him.
Nov. 22
* A man called police while en route to his Sixth Street home where his wife was alone with a strange man beating on the door. Police found the man on the porch, still knocking on the door. He told them he was there to ask the owner “why they are always calling the police on him.” Officers noted that he had clearly been drinking, “but was not overly intoxicated.” They walked him home and told him to stay inside for awhile, to which he agreed, adding that the neighbor “has called police on him every day and he feels he is being harassed.” Dispatch checked the call history and learned the last time police had been called to his home was in July.
