WVLT-TV in Knoxville is reporting that two UT football players are now facing charges of armed robbery. They say that a member of the UT Sports Information Department confirmed that freshman wide receiver Nu’Keese Richardson and freshman safety Janzen Jackson were arrested about 2 a.m. Thursday. They say the incident happened at the Pilot convenience store on Cumberland Avenue, and police say the two were armed with a small semi automatic handgun and robbed a person in the parking lot. 11 Connects will have more on this story as it unfolds today.

Char1215, according to Knoxnews.com neither of the 3 will even be traveling to Ole Miss, so they are at least suspended for that entire game. Kiffen is refusing to say anything at all about possible punishment.
Evaningstar, they’re being suspended for the first half of one football game. That’s barely a slap on the wrist. I’m disappointed. Looks like business as usual at UT.

Perhaps you don’t watch much TV, or read much. Have you never heard of Jesse Jackson? Or Al Sharpton? It seems that those race hustlers see race in EVERY situation. And I’ll just bet that many people close to this situation say these fine young men were arrested ONLY because they are black. That, sir, is playing the race card.
Concerning the guys in this story, I’m sure that their classes, and schoolwork in general, are their primary focuses. Why, I bet they’ve even tried to sneak a textbook or two on the sidelines to do a little extra studying during games. What do you think? As stated earlier, everyone should know that UT football players must be top quality students, and people, before they’d even be accepted to the school. Does anyone doubt that?
