Im sure God is going to laugh at the joke made by wolfmama. I would like to remind you God also forgives people for judgement (so your still good). I dont get sick when a male and female, male or male, or female and female. Freaks like you probably think this is weird but there are still kids being born cause we have all types of lifestyles put on this earth.  Some religious people just dont realize how they effect other people. “You kind” is going to probably going to move away when us “gays” have equal rights in every state. And God does forgive us of sins, but we dont have to ask him to forgive us for being gay just to let you know. I pray that close-minded people will get saved and know God made EVERYONE on this earth and wants up to except one another like he did.

Re: WACM
WOW, I am a young gay male and I love the community that I live in right now. I know of gays, lesbians, bisexual, and straights that live in this area. Only discriminative people disagree with us living around here and thats sad, but thank God I am not going to be forced to another area or prison camp cause I’m gay. I am fine with heterosexuals living around here so why cant you all be ok with us? “...and are destroying America.“ Are you serious!! Not being able to accept others, also called: Hatred is destroying America. Normal.. what is that?.. Maybe planting a garden, working a 9 to 5 job, or robbing a bank, prostitution?? Heteros and homosexuals do all of those. Gays are trying to get the same rights as what you some thing are “normal” people and I know hetrosexuals are promoting and supporting them also.
This was to inform people a dangerous person is on the loose after stabbing at New Beginnings. Thats not hard to read or listen to. If an obese person feel and died after eating a fast food hamburger, that would probably interest you more. Wouldnt be news to me unless someone killed an obesity person. You have a lot of maturing to do still.

Its really sad something like this has happened, whether the male was gay or not. It is not a humans right to kill anyone. Its terrible when anyone has to think about how many people are out there just looking for someone different than them to take their anger and hatred out on. I know I dont go out and think get pissed and beat up a tall, skinny, short, or whatever type of person cause they are different than what I am.

I just wanted to say that I find it very sad that in the aftermath of a tragic incident, people are condemning homosexuality. We as a community should not forget that this was a Human Being that was killed, and regardless of sexuality, sympathy is something we can all have for this family.
For the people, spreading their beliefs that Homosexuals should move out of the area, and that we are not welcomed, then you should remember, Segregation was ended in the 1960s.

For the homosexuals that are in this community, I think this is a time for a Peace Vigil that can Unite our Community.

It amazes me how many people want to run their mouths about a topic that they no NOTHING about.  AS far as your bible slinging passages, the bible states that eating shellfish is an abomination…. so lets all go down to the local red lobster and start killing the patrons…. You morons… in that biblical time abomination was translated to mean un- clean…. Well as far as I know SEX IS MESSY!  At lest the good stuff is.  It should not matter about any of this. A MAN IS DEAD and you people are on here saying that her deserved it if he was gay.  Well I think you deserve to die no wait be beaten brutally and killed for being stupid…. I have a college education and rank high on the IQ testing.. so any one below me should die…their that is my opinion….because that is all you are slinging around… just because you think it does not make it right by any means.  You are not GOD…and yes HE is my God, I go to New Beginnings because I have friends there.  I am straight, 28, and female I like to go there because I don’t have some drunk moron fondling me all night or chasing me to the bathroom. Where is that right.  I can be myself there and have fun.  I don’t think any bar is safe any more it unfortunately is the way the world is now a days.  If you all want to keep slinging church and biblical passages try the one where God says LOVE THY NEIGHBOR!  I like that one

I am a married (woman married to a man), Christian (Baptist for clarification’s sake), Republican, mother of four. I go to work every day. I have lived in this community my entire life. I volunteer. I donate to the Salvation Armey, The United Way, and the Red Cross. I paid more in taxes last year than the average person makes in total income in the United States. I don’t drink and I don’t do drugs.
I was raised by my father. My father taught me amazing values. He taught me wrong from right. He taught me that human life is God’s precious divine gift. He taught me to pray. He taught me how to be successful. I have watched him help more neighbors than I could count fix their homes; electrical, plumbing, carpentry work and never accept a penny for any of it. I have seen him give his last dollar to a bell ringer at Christmas, because someone needed it, and with his actions he exemplifies kindness and charity. By reading the prior posts some readers maybe shocked (and I am sure appalled) that my daddy is gay.
When I pray tonight it will not be for him, as I know his heart and his relationship with God. I can only hope to someday be the Christian he is. I will pray for Mr. Lewis’ family. I will pray for the ignorance that plagues some of the partially illiterate people who have made comments tonight spreading hatred. I will pray that I will not be so offended by judgmental hypocrites whose blatant stupidity is evident by the inability to use spell check.

The God I love and worship, does NOT condone homosexual activity. This week is the celebration life. God made it plain when he gave the word to be written, God made Eve from Adam to be his partner and to be fruitful and multiple.  I am not sure which version of the Holy Bible you are reading, but please read a little closer. However, I can not judge anyone who is participating in this activity. That’s God’s job. However, this young man, GAY, STRAIGHT, YELLOW, GREEN, or White he was killed. He has a family somewhere, he has friends, and he is important to people whether it be in this area, or a million miles away. His circle of family, friends, and close co-workers need prayer and closure. I trust the JCPD will find who committed this horrific crime. My prayer is not that anyone would understand where I stand, but understand that God is amazing, and HE is the creator of all…..Pick up your copy of the scripture and read Genesis. It’s all about the beginning…Where we come from..

I would to let everyone know that there are active groups in the tricities trying to stop things like this from happening.  There is a strong PFLAG group for those seeking to understand what is happening and an active branch of the Tennessee Equality Project working to make the tricities a better place for all to live in.

I have read so many of these comments, and it shames me. Not one of you that have commented know positively if this young man was gay, straight, purple or blue. Do you? What matters is that a human being was beaten to death. There is no reason, no right for this to have happened. And for you that have written your words of predjudice and condemnation, I feel sorry for you. You obviously are no better than the person that did this crime. This man was someones son, someones friend, someones brother. Would you be saying these things if he was killed at the local McDonalds? Think about that. Abingdon…..I am.

I agree with you too Abingdon.  That is a great idea!
