Boone, NC man charged with sexual abuse

A Boone, NC man is in jail today after police allege he sexually abused a juvenile.
On October 22, 2009, the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with the Johnson County Tennessee Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into allegations of sexual abuse of a juvenile, according to a press release from their office.
Gary Andrew Long, 41, a resident of the High Country Inn, Boone, was charged with Incest with a Child Who is 13, 14, or 15 Years Old by a Defendant Who is at Least Six Years Older than the Victim, and Statutory Sex Offense with a Child Who is 13, 14, or 15 Years Old.
Long was taken before a Watauga County Magistrate and given a $200,000 bond and a court date of December 3.
