Virginia’s medical examiner in Roanoke determined that an incised wound to the neck caused the death of Gregory Allen Brown, 43, of Grundy, Virginia.
An “incised wound” is a sharp, cut-like injury - such as a cut made by a knife or broken glass. The weapon in this incident, however, has not been determined.
Sheriff’s deputies say they discovered Brown’s body on Saturday, March 14, 2009, at 5:30 a.m. after responding to a call for assistance at Tony Stilner’s home in the Leetown section of Buchanan County.
The sheriff’s department is investigating the death as a homicide. Investigators did not reveal the identity of the suspect or suspects, but say charges are pending.
