Area Walmart Stores Collecting Donations for Iowa Flood Victims

You have the chance to help folks in the Midwest recover from devastating floods.
As flood waters continue to plague parts of Iowa, Federal Emergency Management Agency officials are already on the ground there to help families recover.
You can also lend a hand to those in the Midwest. Beginning today area Walmart stores are collecting donations to send to those affected in Iowa.
You can drop off supplies at Walmart locations, including stores in Johnson City, Elizabethton, Kingsport, Bristol, Morristown and Newport. The stores will have a trucks parked in their parking lots to collect the donations. The trucks will stay until they are full.

Needed Items Include:
Bleach
Rakes, Shovels, Wheelbarrows
New or Like New Household Furniture
Mops, Brooms, Dustpans
Cleaning Supplies, Sponges, Buckets
New Clothing
Trash Cans
New or Like New Curtains and Bedding

Cash donations will also be accepted. You can drop those off at the service desk inside any Walmart store. The money will be used to purchase large quantities of items to send.
