Another delay in the double murder case of Howard Hawk Willis
Today marked yet another delay in the case of accused killer Howard Hawk Willis.
A status hearing in his double murder trial was cancelled.
Before Willis’ trial even began, Willis filed an appeal to the Tennessee Supreme Court.
In July, the Tennessee Criminal Court of Appeals ruled Willis will defend himself.
Willis now apparently thinks self-representation is unfair because if convicted, he faces the death penalty.
Now, before Willis double murder case can progress, attorneys must wait to see if the Tennessee Supreme Court will consider Willis’ case.
Investigators say Willis murdered two Georgia teens in 2002.
Police found their bodies in a downtown Johnson City storage facility.

Not sure if you live under a rock or just don’t know the definition of capitol punishment….But the US has actively used capitol punishment as a means of retribution since the 18th century. There was a brief time in the 20th century that it was abolished…..
It is rediculous the way this thing can play the system. The laws are written to protect the criminal and hang the victims.
He didn’t only take these two young peoples lives,but my sister that he was married to,became missing in 1987.I have never found out what he did with her body.This is a long story,Then his former step-father become missing.This happened in Cleveland,TN & Ringgold,GA .We couldn’t get them to do anything to help us down there.I get mad everytime I think about it.Willis is not insane,he knows what he is doing.The Justice System needs to do something soon.
This is where I have a real problem with the system.You see I think death is to good for someone of this mentality,the reason being it is to easy.You see this man took these young people from their families,and these families can never bring them back.However he is sitting in jail with visitation rights,phone,cable,and people he can talk to.AMERICA NEEDS CAPITOL PUNISHMENT.
Why does Willis think he deserves all the time that it has taken.He does not deserve the air that he breaths.His victims didn’t get as many chances as he has gotten.They did not deserve to die because of him.It does not seem that I never will see justice for my sister.I hope & pray that the young couple’s family will see justice.I don’t believe the justice system works for good honest people.I know him very well.I hope & pray that God will intervene & help us that wait.

This man has had and fired so many lawyers to represent him and can not get along with them. No Mr. Willis no attorney in their right mind can get you off this, quit playing the system and get on with your sentence! Did you give the victims this many opportunities to beg for their life..I seriously doubt that!
Kill the freak already and get it the heck over with. What is wrong with you people. Are you crazy as heck?
Enough is enough….the judge in this case is a wimp. Get the show on the road and get this jerk excuted before he dies of natural causes.
I am tired of helping pay for this man to play the system. I say give him the same chance he gave those two young kids. I have to get up come to work just so I can have insurance and he has free medical and dental insurance. I am going without my glasses that i need because I can not afford them. He can get them for free. I say lets get the rope out.
