This sign popped up outside the Tennessee Floral Supply in Bristol.
What do you think? Do you share the same feelings?

You’d be hard pressed to find anyone that bleeds any orange-er than me, but I have to side with Tennessee Floral Supply.  They *are* huge UT fans, but they aren’t “yellow dog” fans, so to speak.  They haven’t put up anything that many UT fans haven’t thought after watching that first game.  I agree with MntRaven…they can’t win every year smile

Like in the past the VOLS got beat by a better TEAM or maybe like the PAST VOLS a lucky Team.
Thats why they play the game. YOU GET A WINNER.Ranking is just a number, you are given at the first of the year. After that you earn one.

It appears someone has an opinion. When a business takes advertising space to display their contrary or negative opinion of a popular school sports team they risk retaliation of their customers. I will never pass under that sign! It should read, “GO VOLS!“

Benefit of the doubt? UCLA was picked, by various sources, to finish in the middle of the pack to the bottom of the pile in the Pac-10. This was before losing their second QB in the off season. They started their third-string QB against Tennessee. He threw four picks in the first half, while losing three key offensive players, and UCLA was still only down by a TD at halftime. UT let them back in, and UCLA made plays when it mattered. I’m sorry to say that this UCLA team is not an SEC-level team, and Tennessee is likely not going to do so great in the SEC.

To the subject at hand, I agree that this likely isn’t good for business, considering many in this area are Volunteer fans.

I’ve been driving by this floris supply company for many, many years and you could always tell from their ever changing sign they have always been HUGE supporters of the University of Tennessee.  What you NORMALLY see are praises for UT, a countdown to how many days until UT football begins, etc. etc.  Criticism is NOT the norm for Tennessee Floral, so they must really be disappointed in their beloved Vols this year.

Knowing how this market loves the VOLS, why would you risk upsetting your clients.  Maybe it is just me but I believe I would keep my opinions to myself!

My husband thinks so! He was screaming it at the TV during the whole game! LOL! Poor Vols. They can’t be number one every year can they?

The Vols did much better than last year and held their own well against a very strong Bruins team. Let’s give the Vols the benefit of the doubt and see what happens the rest of the season. Then I can better make a judgment call on the quality of the team.

Ok, I see that Tennessee Floral Supply is an importer and wholesale distributor of fresh cut flowers, potted plants, and floral accessories.  So what?
