A Local Diner’s Six-Pound Burger Challenge
Phillip Murrell / 11 Connects News
The owners of Fattie’s Diner in Damascus, Virginia are challenging their customers to eat a six-pound burger in under an hour.
The hamburger dare started with a two-pound burger, and went up a pound every time someone defeated it.
If you can’t eat the thirty dollar burger, your picture will be added to the wall of shame. However, if you can down all six pounds in the time limit, you’ll win a free shirt and a place on the wall of fame.

Geez, a thirty dollar hamburger, I figured that would be what you would pay here in Meadowview at our way overpriced restaurant, glad to see Meadowview isn’t the only ones getting shafted.
To each their own I guess. I personally don’t consider pushing gluttony fun or full of laughs. Whatev.
Yes there is a sad shortage of food and water ac ross the world. There is also a shortage of laughter and fun.Relax,if somebody is encouraging fun in this world please leave them be.
Peace
Relax! There is no shortage of food out there in the world. There is actually a problem with access to it. There are appropriate food stocks to feed all the hungry in the world but there is a mismanagement of the food distribution system controlled by profit hungry corps and governments and not by individual diners. Now maybe in the future when the world population hits 8 or 10 billion we should worry about food stocks. But if your going to worry about the worlds resource stock. Start with water, that’s actually what the most impoverished and at risk have no access to in the rest of the undeveloped world.
The diner and the people that try it should be ashamed of themselves. We don’t necessarily realize it in our country, but we have a shortage of food on this planet.
Think about those starving children picking through the trash while you enjoy your thirty dollar, six pound hamburger.
