This Saturday at the Down Home, 300 W. Main Street in Johnson City, the Half Runners and the Clear Liquor Pickers take the stage for $10 at the door.
The Half Runners started with the ETSU Old-Time Band and eventually formed their own bluegrass act after bassist Tim Pharis joined in 2006, originally to play mandolin.
The Clear Liquor Pickers perform a unique blend of contemporary and traditional bluegrass, western swing, and lonesome old country songs. They are focused on delivering a high-energy performance and connecting with the audience.
Down Home opens at 6 p.m., with a full-service menu until showtime, when appetizers and drinks are served.
