Submissions Being Accepted For Battle of the Bands

Johnson City’s Parks and Recreation Department is teaming up with First Priority for a Battle of the Bands competition, Thursday, Aug. 6 from 6-9 p.m. Part of the Lakeside Concert Series, the Battle of the Bands will take place at Winged Deer Park’s Goulding Amphitheatre.

Band members must be 21 years of age or younger to participate. Applications are available on the Parks and Recreation page at http://www.johnsoncitytn.org and at the Parks and Recreation Administration Office at Winged Deer Park, 4137 Bristol Highway. Bands must submit lyrics, two references, and a recording of their music along with their application. All materials are due to the Parks and Rec Administration Office no later than Thursday, July 23. Application fee is $30, and the winning band will receive $250.
