VIDEO: Burton Preps For Coeburn, Looks To Stay Undefeated

The J.I. Burton Raiders (4-0) look to stay undefeated as they take a break from their Lonesome Pine District schedule to play host to Coeburn Friday.

Burton is riding high after drumming Powell Valley 48-7 last week. The Raiders racked up over 600 rushing yards against the Vikings, with cousins Martinez Miles and Jaycob Coleman both eclipsing 200 yards apiece.

The Burton defense has yet to yield double digits to any opponent in 2008, while the Raider offense is averaging over 45 points a game.

For Coeburn (2-3), the trip provides a chance to score an upset and halt a two game losing streak. Thomas Walker handed the Blue Knights their most recent loss, winning the Sept 19 Cumberland District matchup 42-20.  Coeburn was the preseason pick to win the district but is now trailing the upstart Pioneers after the loss last week.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at Lawson-Fitchko Stadium on the campus of J.I. Burton in Norton, Va.
