Outlook: Should first-year coach Tommy Crigger’s goal of winning “that first game” be realized in 2008, it’ll be due to the efforts of two seniors whose nicknames are more common in deli sections than football fields. Adam “Beefy” Keen and Matt “Porky” King are not only big, they’ve quickly caught on to the complicated pulling they’re required to execute in Crigger’s new winged-T offense. Running through the daylight Beefy and Porky provide will be senior halfback Garrett Horne, who could be one of the best athletes in the BDD if he is fully recovered from a knee injury that ended his 2007 season.
