As residents of Washington County we are proud to have been represented on the Board of Supervisors by Dulcie Mumpower for the last 16 years. During this time, Dulcie has been an avid supporter of the school system voting for Phase I, and most recently Phase II, in the education system. She has always been available for any problems or concerns that are brought to her and is always willing to listen.
Recently several residents of the Wyndale and Astor Road areas received damage from floods, which severely effected their homes and property. Dulcie was immediately available to help and assist them.
She was their voice in bringing the information to the attention of the appropriate people. Dulcie is committed to honest, fair and equal treatment for all the citizens of Washington County. She approaches her job as a member of the Board of Supervisors with integrity.
On Nov. 3 we have the opportunity to vote for our representative for the Wilson District. Thank you Dulcie, it is now our turn to be there for you.

I don’t live in VA, but as long as she’s not related to Jason you’ll probably be ok, folks.

Your right Radio Bill; I know of two votes she won’t be getting. I think we need to clean house this time. To many jobs being voted down in this county in my opinion.

Dulcie was immediately available to help and assist them? Why then at the first BOS did she not make a proposal to offer assistance to Brenda Taylor. Instead a blame game was played that it was owned by the Industrial Board. Who owns the Industrial Board? Duh the County!. If two weeks prior Supervisor McCrady can pass a resolution to give parents in his district $2000.00 to go to go to a baseball game, why then could they not have taken some money from the half million dollar emergency fund to help Brenda. Common sense could have thought of that. At least the candidate running against her made the same statement. Common sense tells you that when in the same night when she votes for rezone of one property to business that one would also vote the same adjoining property. She did not! but it passed and now there is 1.5 million building on it and will have it’s opening this week, and provide jobs. She disuaded the Ethanol plant with 100+ jobs at an average salaryof $42,000.00 that is now being reported in this paper as going to Bristol, TN. she voted against the travel center for another 70-80 jobs. Yet she claims she for jobs. Well it appears she against jobs, no real compassion for a displaced Brenda Taylor. So wouldn’t you say to the voters it NOT your turn to be there for her!
