Cartoon Was Disgusting, Libs Disgusting

I viewed the political cartoon [A6, Aug. 19] with disgust. It is typical of the usual liberal-biased, unfounded piece of work that these cartoons usually represent. The idea rolled off the on-the-air, polluted lips of Andrea Mitchell suggesting that McCain may have received an unfair advantage by suggesting that he received the questions in advance and Obama didn’t.

It is certainly pitiful that the libs have to make up something out of the air when their candidate is beaten fair and square with identical questions and falls on his face.

This is the same biased Andrea Mitchell who previously spoke despairingly about Appalachia (and you took her to task, too). She apologized, but it was apparent that those remarks were her belief – as usual she just couldn’t control herself on air.

This same Andrea Mitchell is married to Alan Greenspan, whose policies led to the financial mess this country is in now. Her remarks about the questions are typical of libs – when you don’t have the facts, attack (just like the old lawyer adage – if you have the facts, argue the facts, if not, attack the other side).

It’s a pity that with all the myriad of real, large problems this country faces, that the editorship finds their niche in these factless cartoons and attacking small town such as Damascus, Piney Flats and Bluff City. I feel sure that the voters in these areas know first-hand much more of what they need to do and not do than the Bristol Herald Courier.

What the hell are you talking about?
Clarity is not really that difficult to achieve.

I am sorry, Richard, but the responsibility for the financial mess we are in today rests on George Bush and his administration.  The “ownership” society he espoused has highlighted the problems with an unregulated free market economy.  We are in trouble.  We need to identify the root causes of our problems and apply appropriate solutions.  Name-calling does not help.

I turned on this well advetized event to watch. I was told the people who wanted to be President were going to be faced with questions that normal people would ask without them having time to prepare.

I watched.
Mc Cain was in the “Cone of Scilence”.

I was impressed by both.

I got Obama when he said “ that is above my pay grade”. Meaning I am not God to decide what women can do with their bodies. He faced what all Liberial do when saying I would play God when speaking to people who will.
I saw a woman once kept way back in the woods of North Carloina near my Grandfathers farm who had 12 children and one on the way. According to Grandad they had already buried several she lost. He also said that man never lets that woman leave the farm. That is what makes me say “let a woman decide it is her body “.
I saw Mc Cain seemed more able to speak with clarity than I had ever seen him. He had stumbled some latley when speaking. Like the Motorcycle Ralley speech.
Then I hear later Mc Cain was not in a “ Cone” of anything he was in a limo.
Then Pastor Rick says well if Mc Cain had seen anything or heard anything the Secret Service would have told me.

So I decided to look at the transcripts.
Well I was not ammused to what I found.
I saw what amounts to a wink and a nod that Pastor Rick knew Mc Cain not only knew the Questions but had gotten them out of order and ask if Pastor Rick wanted to back up.

So many lies.

Then Pastor Rick trys to cover it up by saying he discussed a few of the questions with Mc Cain and Obama.
Then he began blowing off questions with short say nothing answers.

Well he got paid for a lot of interviews and a big one night pay day.

We got lies.

Is that the same Alan Greenspan who after Bush forced him to lower Interest Rates when on T V and before Congress and said “ these artficially low interest rates can not be maintain logn without doing sersious harm to the economy “.

That Alan Greenspan who was forced to resign by Bush and had these new people take over the Federal Reserve.

Sure there is not agenda. Getting rid of anything that helped the people was never part of the Republican Plan.
Getting rid od Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac has been a dream of banks since it was created. Now that they have been forced to assume all the bad loans ofinvestment banks and other banks it would be easy to drive them out of business. The same with medicare that is now so deep in debt paying for pills it could be shoved over the cliff.
