Scott County Virginia Property Tax Rates
Those of you who live in Scott County, Virginia will not have to fork over more dough in taxes.
The Scott County Board of Supervisors agreed to leave real estate and personal property tax rates at their current levels. Those are 69 cents per one hundred dollars of assessed value for real estate and a dollar forty cents per one hundred dollars of assessed value for personal property, like cars.
County Administrator Rufus Hood told 11 Connects the county will hold a public hearing on the budget Wednesday, June 3 at 8:30 a-m at the Scott County office in Gate City, that’s under the library.
Hood said the current budget shortfall is about one point four million dollars. He anticipates the county will get loans to make up the gap.
