Police Major Loses Battle With Cancer

A long time public servant of Johnson City lost his battle with pancreatic cancer.

Major Trent Harris of the Johnson City Police Department died around 10 pm last night in the hospital.

Harris joined the Johnson City Police force as one of the city’s original public safety officers in 1978. 

He retired June 29 of this year as second in command at the department.

I am sorry for your loss (family). I have known him for years and he has helped me and my family out a lot. He is a GREAT man and will be missed dearly. Good Luck to you all.
