Nolichucky River Rescue

They searched the Unaka Springs side of the river, just outside the city limits of Erwin,  since just after 6-30 Thursday night.
 
Those on the scene said James Cantrell sat down on a rock complaining of back pain…and that’s the last time those who were with him saw him.

Cantrell, of Erwin, is recovering after emergency personnel pulled him from the water shortly after 10 Thursday night.
