News Channel 11’s Exclusive Interview with Jason Mumpower

News Channel 11’s Scott Draper interviewed Jason Mumpower about the historic convening of the Tennessee General Assembly on Tuesday.

State Representative Jason Mumpower, of Sullivan County, won his party’s nomination to be Speaker of the Tennessee House of Representatives, a position held by West Tennessee Democrat Jimmy Naifeh for 18 years. 

While Democrats including Governor Phil Bredesen are lobbying for Naifeh to keep his job, Mumpower is confident he will have enough votes to become Speaker when the General Assembly convenes Tuesday.
