Josh Smith’s Exclusive Interview with Ron Ramsey

» 2 Comments | Post a Comment

Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey can’t hide his excitement about what could happen on Tuesday.

It’s almost certain Ramsey, a Republican representing Sullivan County in the Tennessee State Senate, will retain his post as Senate Speaker and Lt. Governor, an appointed position which gives him tremendous power in the General Assembly.

But Ramsey’s influence as well as that of the Tennessee Republican Party could intensify significantly Tuesday.  Republicans now have a one vote majority in the Tennessee House of Representatives as well as a majority in the Senate.  In Tennessee history, that’s never happened before.

Hot air, Hot air, when will the people of Sullivan and Johnson Co. wake up? He and Mumpower serve only the elite.

Thank goodness. While I am a Republican and think that it’s great that we’ve got a Republican majority, I don’t understand what all the fuss is about. Thank goodness Ron has that position or we might not have gotten all the jobs or other economic growth that has come to the area. Oh, wait a minute, we haven’t had any. Ron being a leader in Nashville is good for one thing, Ron. No increased jobs that are meaningful, nothing of note that I can think of in the way of economic growth. The next time Josh does a story, do it on a guy that started a small engine repair shop and hired a helper. That story would be about one more job created than Ramsey has brought to the area.
