Bristol, Tenn. - King College Theatre Workshop presents “Scenes and Revelations” by Elan Garonzik. Set in 1894, the play dramatizes four Pennsylvania sisters, their romances and their decision to leave their farm and birthplace to move to England through a series of flashbacks. The play will be performed Feb. 18 through Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Theatre, located on the King College campus.

“We are very excited about this production because the design team is all students,” said Elizabeth Dollar, chair of the department of performing and visual arts and associate professor of theatre.  “Workshop productions allow students to gain experience under strong mentorship from the faculty.”

The play is under the direction of Melanie Barton, adjunct faculty in theatre. The set design is by Nora Beth Moran, sophomore theatre major, with costume design by Tori Philbeck, sophomore psychology and theatre major. Lighting design is by Katherine Bowers, junior youth ministry and English major and theatre minor, and Tiffany Morgan, senior English major and theatre minor.  Sound design is by Megan Sutherland, senior neuroscience major.  Technical direction is by Christopher Slaughter, associate professor of theatre.

Tickets for “Scenes and Revelations” are $5 general admission and free for King College students with ID.  Tickets will be available at the door one hour before each performance. Seating is limited and due to the staging, audience members cannot be seated once the performance begins.
