Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt will headline Titans Caravan XIII on Wednesday, April 14, the third day of the team’s annual tour through the Mid-South. Britt will appear in Cleveland, Sevierville and Johnson City and will be joined by linebacker Gerald McRath for the final stop of the day in Knoxville.

Along with Titans mascot T-Rac, the “Voice of the Titans” Mike Keith and Titans Radio Gameday Host Larry Stone, Britt will begin the day with a 9:30 a.m. (ET) appearance at Arnold Elementary School in Cleveland, where students will assemble for the Titans Caravan school program. At 1 p.m. (ET), the team will present the program for a second time at Sevierville Intermediate School.

During the Caravan school visits, which are closed to the general public, the Titans deliver a message to students about developing study habits, making good choices and setting goals. Also, the NFL’s “Play 60” theme is emphasized, encouraging children to stay healthy by getting daily exercise.

Britt will make his first of two public stops at Shoe Carnival in Johnson City (3211 Peoples St. Suite 32) at 3:30 p.m. (ET). From there, the Caravan will add McRath and travel to Knoxville, arriving at the AT&T store at West Town Mall (7600 Kingston Pike) at 6:30 p.m. (ET).

Public Caravan stops give all fans the chance to collect autographs and take pictures with the Titans. There is no charge to attend any of the Titans Caravan XIII public events, and each stop lasts approximately one hour.

Britt, a first-round draft pick and the 30th overall player selected in the draft last year, had one of the best rookie seasons in franchise history by a wide receiver. He recorded a team-high 701 receiving yards, which ranked fifth in the NFL among rookies and was the highest total by a Titans rookie receiver since 1995. His average of 16.7 yards per reception (42 catches) was the eighth-best figure in the entire NFL in 2009 and the sixth-best average by a Titans/Oilers receiver in the last 20 seasons. Prior to joining the Titans, Britt spent three years at Rutgers University, where he set the all-time Big East record with 3,043 receiving yards.

McRath, a fourth-round draft choice in 2009, is a projected starter at linebacker for the Titans in 2010. The promising youngster started five of the final nine games during his rookie season, collecting 38 tackles and one interception. A product of Southern Mississippi, McRath led his college team in tackles three consecutive seasons and garnered numerous accolades during his career. He was named conference USA Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore, and as a junior he was named to the All-Conference squad after finishing first in the league in tackles.

A total of 42 Titans Caravan stops in Tennessee, Kentucky and Alabama have been scheduled over a span of nearly two weeks, concluding just hours before the start of the 2010 NFL Draft on Thursday, April 22. The vast majority of Caravan visits are presented by one of nearly 70 affiliates of the Titans Radio Network, the exclusive radio home of the Titans.

Over the last 12 years, Titans Caravan has made over 600 stops and allowed the team to interact directly with an estimated audience well in excess of 100,000 fans. Since its beginning in 1998 as a small effort to spread goodwill through the region, the Caravan has evolved to include six full-time staffers that travel with Titans players, broadcasters and T-Rac throughout the Mid-South on a specially-decorated motor coach from Premiere Transportation.

MEDIA ADVISORY: An interview period with the player(s) and other members of the Caravan will be scheduled for each stop. Please contact the Titans media relations department at (615) 565-4100 for more information.
