The Dobyns-Bennett Lady Indians volleyball team has won the state championship. The Lady Indians did not lose a game during the tournament, dispensing of Collierville, Ravenwood, and Independence to reach the AAA championship game. The Tribe then defeated Ravenwood for the second time Friday afternoon, 25-22, 25-21, 25-18, to finish off their title run.
South Greene went 1-2 in the AA portion of the state tournament, losing to Red Bank, then beating Crockett County in the loser's bracket before falling to Chattanooga Christian.
North Greene ended a great season with two losses in the class A state tournament, losing to Trinity Christian, then falling in the loser's bracket to Summertown.
