ASHLAND, Va. – The Emory & Henry College women’s soccer team suffered a 2-1 overtime loss to Old Dominion Athletic Conference rival Randolph-Macon on Saturday afternoon.
E&H (8-5, 2-4) took a 1-0 lead in the 57th minute on a goal by Loren Favale. However, Randolph-Macon (8-4, 5-3) rallied to pick up the victory.
Amanda Nelms scored in the 64th minute to tie the game and then scored in overtime to give R-M the victory.
Covenant 2, King 1
Senior midfielder Emma Wells had the lone goal for King College as the Tornado lost on the road.
King (8-5) travels to Tusculum on Wednesday.
Milligan 2, Sewanee 2
Sam Barton and Kelsey Kind scored goals for Milligan, but it wasn’t enough as the Buffaloes lost a non-conference road match.

Covenant 3, King 1
Freshman Jessus Ebanks scored the lone goal for the King College Tornado in a non-conference road loss.
King (7-5) hosts Bryan on Thursday.
Campbell 4, ETSU 3
Guilherme Reis scored his first two goals of the season for East Tennessee State University, but it wasn’t enough as the Bucs were beaten by Atlantic Sun Conference rival Campbell.
Theo Yang scored the other goal for ETSU (1-6-3, 0-2-1), which outshot Campbell by an 18-9 margin.

Milligan goes 1-3
Milligan College compiled a 1-3 record over the weekend in the Asbury Invitational in Lexington, Ky.
The Buffaloes’ lone win came over St. Catherines (Ky.), while they lost to Madonna (Mich.), Webber International (Fla.) and Indiana University-Southeast.
Kentucky native Meredith Lynch led Milligan (10-11) with 38 assists, 22 digs and seven blocks in the four matches. Freshman Chelsea Spivey (66 assists, seven kills) and junior
Bianca Burnett (29 kills) also led the way for Milligan.
“We knew we would see a lot of great competition heading into the weekend,” Milligan coach Doneva Bays said in a press release. “It’s tough right now battling with the injuries, but hopefully we can get everyone healthy. We still need to work on playing point for point and maintaining our focus.”
North Florida 3, ETSU 1
Kaley Read had 14 kills for the North Florida Ospreys in their 21-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-23 Atlantic Sun Conference win over East Tennessee State University.
ETSU (6-12, 5-5) was led by Kingsport native Whitney Cogburn, who tallied 15 kills and 16 digs. McKayla Barber (10 kills), Amanda Youell (39 assists) and Jen Neice (18 digs) for the Bucs.
“I think that UNF really came to play today,” ETSU coach Lindsey Devine said in a press release. “They outhustled us, and really wanted to win more than we did. Our team is very talented, but when we don’t play with intensity then teams are going to pick up on that and we will be on the losing end.”

Sullivan Central stopped Dobyns-Bennett, 25-14, 25-22, in the finals of the Big 8 Conference junior varsity tournament.
