Heath Miller once again made primetime highlights.

The former Honaker High School star caught two touchdown passes on Sunday night for the Pittsburgh Steelers in their 38-28 victory over the San Diego Chargers.

Miller finished with eight catches for 70 yards and scored his first two touchdowns of the season. He hauled in a 6-yard TD reception in the third quarter from quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh running back Mewelde Moore found Miller with a 6-yard scoring strike on a trick play in the fourth quarter.

It was Miller’s second eight-catch game of the season and matched a career-high. He also had eight catches during a primetime game against the Tennessee Titans in the season-opener.

For the season, Miller has 24 receptions for 181 yards.

Sensabaugh injured
Dallas Cowboys defensive back Gerald Sensabaugh (Dobyns-Bennett) broke his right thumb on Sunday in the first half of a 17-10 loss to the Denver Broncos.
Sensabaugh is expected to miss four weeks. He’s been in on 18 tackles in his first season with Dallas, after spending the first four years of his NFL career with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Jones reaches milestone
The New York Jets suffered a 24-10 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, but running back Thomas Jones achieved a personal milestone.
The Powell Valley High School graduate surpassed the 8,000-yard rushing mark for his career after gaining 48 yards on 13 carries and scoring a touchdown in Sunday’s loss.
Jones has rushed for 229 yards on 61 carries and scored three touchdowns this season.

Franklin leads 49ers D
Former Science Hill High School standout Aubrayo Franklin helped the San Francisco 49ers post a 35-0 shutout of the St. Louis Rams on Sunday, finishing with four tackles.
The defensive lineman also provided an emotional lift for the 49ers.
Aubrayo was the first to say something,” San Francisco linebacker Takeo Spikes told the Santa Rosa (Calif.) Press Democrat. “He said, ‘We have an opportunity for a shutout. Let’s get it done.’ ”

Bradshaw solid again
Ahmad Bradshaw (Graham) had another solid performance for the New York Giants on Sunday, rushing for 64 yards on 12 carries in a 27-16 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.
The third-year pro is on pace to shatter his personal bests in carries and rushing yards this season.

Witten slowed
The Denver Broncos’ defense did something that no NFL defensive unit had been able to do this season – contain Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten.
Denver held the former Elizabethton High School star to a season-low production on Sunday, limiting him to four catches on 31 yards in the Broncos’ 17-10 triumph.

Julius Jones contained
Seattle Seahawks running back Julius Jones (Powell Valley) was held in check on Sunday in a 34-17 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Jones gained just 25 yards on 11 carries and caught three passes for 10 yards in Seattle’s 34-17 loss.
