Musket Man is a go for the Preakness Stakes.

The trainer of the 3-year-old colt confirms his third-place finisher in the Kentucky Derby will run in the second leg of the Triple Crown next Saturday at Baltimore's Pimlico Race Course.

Musket Man will take on long shot Derby winner Mine That Bird in the 1 3-16th-mile Preakness, with the rest of the field still to be determined.

Among other horses confirmed for the Preakness are Papa Clem, Flying Private, Big Drama and Hull.

Trainer Derek Ryan says Musket Man galloped Wednesday morning at Monmouth Park and will be shipped to Pimlico the day before the
race.

Musket Man won five of six races before the Derby and has finished in the top three in all seven career starts.
