Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin says the
NCAA is investigating an eligibility issue with freshman tailback
Bryce Brown.
Kiffin says that the investigation has nothing to do with
Brown's recruitment by Tennessee or any other school. Kiffin would
not say Tuesday specifically what the NCAA was investigating, but
said that Brown had good grades in high school and during the
summer session at Tennessee.
Brown, from Wichita, Kan., was considered a top high school
prospect in 2009. He has seen significant playing time with the
Volunteer's first team offense during fall practice.
