Tennessee forward Amber Gray will leave
a Cincinnati rehabilitation facility where she was recovering from
brain surgery more than two weeks earlier than expected.
The 19-year-old underwent brain surgery at University Hospital
in Cincinnati in early July to clip a brain aneurysm that had
hemorrhaged and caused a stroke.
On Tuesday, she will leave Cincinnati's Drake Center where she
has been rehabilitating since July 23, though she will continue her
rehabilitation program.
The aneurysm was discovered when the West Chester, Ohio, native
suffered complications following a July 2 shoulder surgery to
repair her rotator cuff.
Gray, a 6-foot-1 sophomore, played in 27 games, averaging 2.7
points and 1.9 rebounds in 7.6 minutes per contest.
