PULASKI, Va. — Another comeback victory kept Bristol’s winning streak intact.
Justin Greene had two hits from his leadoff spot and the Bristol White Sox extended their win streak to six games with a 6-3 victory over the Pulaski Mariners on Monday night at Calfee Park.
Greene went 2-for-4 and scored two runs in raising his batting average to .372. Jordan Kendall added two RBIs in the victory.
Bristol (9-3) fell behind 3-0 after three innings, but shrugged off the early deficit. The Sox tied the game with three runs in the fifth inning and then took the lead for good in the eighth inning as Brandon
Short, who tripled, scored on a sacrifice fly by Jose Vargas.
John Doyle tossed three shutout innings on relief to pick up his first win of the season, while Kevin Asselin worked around a home run by Kris Sanchez in the ninth inning to nail down his fourth save.
