2007 All-Northeast Tennessee football team
Offense
QB Curt Phillips, Sullivan South
What more can be said? Phillips goes down as one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the position in Northeast Tennessee.
RB Taylor Fletcher, Sullivan South
Fletcher somehow flew under the radar, despite running for 945 yards and 13 touchdowns.
RB Keenan Shepard, Tennessee High
Shepard broke out late to rack up 964 yards and 10 TDs. He should dominate the MLC in 2008.
WR Christian Prudhomme, Johnson County
Prudhomme accounted for 590 yards and eight touchdowns and led the Longhorns into the playoffs.
WR Kaleb Kitzmiller, Sullivan South
Phillips’ favorite target. Kitzmiller caught 41 balls for 635 yards and four TDs.
TE Drew Rice, Unicoi County
Rice finished with two TDs and 211 yards as the Blue Devils came on strong late.
OL George Harless, Sullivan South
Harless helped open the holes that Phillips and Fletcher glided through.
OL Daniel Preston, Dobyns-Bennett
Preston allowed sophomore running back Chris Sensabaugh to make a late charge for the Indians.
OL Matt Summey, Sullivan North
The Raiders ran for 2,246 yards this season and Summey was a big reason why.
OL Alan Hinson, Dobyns-Bennett
Hinson teamed with Preston to open holes for Sensabaugh. Sensabaugh compiled 854 yards and 15 touchdowns in a limited amount of time.
OL Isaac Moore, Sullivan North
Moore and Summey made quite the tandem.
ATH Tyler Leonard, Johnson County
The multi-talented Leonard ran for 1,081 yards and 11 TDs and had more than 400 return yards.
KR Jeff Baker, Tennessee High
Baker’s 422 return yards included a 79-yard kickoff return.
K Jordan Willingham, Sullivan South
Willingham put the punctuation on all those Rebels TDs – 68 extra points to be exact.
DEFENSE
DL Elijah Bible, Tennessee High
A force. Bible finished with a Vikings career-record 22.5 sacks.
DL Bradley Tallman, Tennessee High
Tallman teamed with Bible, and the Vikings limited opponents to just 113.1 rushing yards per game.
DL Zack Fleming, Dobyns-Bennett
Fleming fronted an Indians defense that held 10 opponents under 15 points.
DL Chris Collins, Sullivan South
The Rebels’ offense got all the attention; their defense stepped up huge late.
DL Matt Dickerson, Tennessee High
The Vikings’ front seven was a monster and Dickerson did a lot of chomping.
LB Ty Garvin, Sullivan South
Hard hits. Fearless play. It’s the Garvin way.
LB Tyler Crowder, Sullivan East
Intense, fast, and powerful, Crowder led an underrated Patriots defense that forced 27 turnovers.
LB Clint Phillips, Sullivan South
Stepped out of the shadow of his older brother and proved that he’s a force to be reckoned with. Should dominate opposing offenses the next two seasons.
DB Thomas Turnbull, Tennessee High
One of the top overall defenders in Northeast Tennessee. Turnbull is a coach’s player who used his intelligence and creativity to shut down receivers.
DB Jordan Barrett, Tennessee High
How good was that Vikings defense? Tennessee High forced 20 fumbles and allowed just 121 total points.
DB Javan Joslin, Science Hill
Joslin had a big year for the rebounding ‘Toppers.
Ut. Spencer Sandidge, Sullivan South
Sandidge held down the back. The Rebels’ defense made a number of late-season big-game plays.
P Bo Carter, Elizabethton
Averaged 37.7 yards a punt with a long of 56.
