HONAKER TIGERS
Coach Doug Hubbard
Honaker High School
Outlook
The Tigers have 15 returning starters, seven on offense and eight on defense, coming back from a team that swept the conference in 2007. The skill positions are stacked with talented youngsters and grizzled vets – including the return of Justin Hall under center and a three-pronged rushing attack of Clay Smith, Shade Ray and newcomer Jonathan Bostic. But the real strength of the offense will be the line, which is bolstered by the return of four starters and an average size of about 270 pounds. Even with the loss of Logan Ball, last season’s BDD player of the year, look for the Tigers to again be toward the top of the district come November.
