The first lap of racing at Bristol Motor Speedway brought out the first caution of this race week, as the Aaron’s 150 got underway Wednesday night just before 6pm. The wreck caught up pole sitter Wade Day of Elizabethton, who was driving the Lopez Wealth Management #96 Ford Fusion.
In a race that saw a number of cautions, Caleb Holman, driving for Abingdon-based Food Country, emerged victorious by winning under a caution that came out on lap 147. He drove the #75 Chevy Impala and started the race from the 2nd position and finished 32nd.
DuBois, Pennsylvania-based Benny Gordon, driving the #66 Samuel Metals Ford Fusion finished second, while James Buescher from Plano, Texas, driving the Mercedes Home Chevy Monte Carlo finished third. Woody Howard, driving the #55 Dean Motorsports Chevy Monte Carlo finished fourth, with Knoxville's Trevor Bayne driving the Chevy Racing Monte Carlo finished in fifth place.
