Family members of a murdered Kingsport woman want her accused killer's bond increased.

Mark Breeding is charged with first-degree murder accused of the stabbing death of his live-in girlfriend Beverly "birdie" Hartsock on Sunday, Feb. 12.

It happened at the City View Apartments on Bloomingdale Pike.  Hartsock's sister Regina Pennington said Breeding's bond is too low.

“You know if it had been a rapist or a robber that went in and did this to somebody they didn't know, it would be something different, but this is somebody she loved that went in and slashed her and then to hand him a 150,000 dollar bond, it's uncalled for,” said Pennington.

Breeding's preliminary hearing set for today is now reset for March 22.
