Businesses can take their ruinous signs elsewhere

»  Comments | Post a Comment

In regards to the complaints of Bart Long of Bart Long & Associates and Mr. Chris ‘Why In The World Would You Not’ Lee of Gatton Automotive about not being allowed to ‘ruin’ our city streets with their signs, as they have done so: If everything is so great in Kingsport and Johnson City, Tenn., why in the world would you not want to be in either one of them and not in Bristol, Tenn.-Va.

I do not know much about Sullivan County’s business but how is an auctioneer of property allowed to be the Sullivan County Register of Deeds? It seems to me there would be a conflict of interest here somewhere.

We the residents of Bristol,Va.-Tenn., do not want our streets ‘trashed up’ with their signs. I think they have plenty of signs in regards to their business enterprises. I believe the Bristol, Tenn., City Council is doing the right thing by not changing the laws, except to ‘run ‘em out on a rail’ after being tarred and feathered.

They are crooks in sheep’s clothing.
