Recently, my wife showed me a political cartoon that we received over the Internet. I liked it so well that I had her print out the drawing and it is now on our refrigerator.
The picture consists of a large pole with four branches. On the top of the pole sits one bird, which is titled “President.”
On the first two branches below sit two birds, one on each side of the pole. One is titled “Democrats” and the other “Republicans.”
On the bottom two branches sit four birds, two on each side of the pole. One is titled “American” and the other “People.”
The top bird, the “President” bird, is clean. The two birds below, “Democrat” and “Republican” birds, have a lot more of ‘what birds do’ on them. But, the four birds below, the ones titled “American” and “People,” well bless their hearts. They are completely covered in ‘what birds do.’
Now, I think this cartoon does a great job of explaining Politics in America.
