n An Oakview Avenue woman called at 2 a.m. to say “someone woke her up knocking on the door.” She asked who it was and “the response was, ‘a black dude.’ ” She said “they have knocked twice more since then.”
n A Moore Street man said a drunken woman was “banging on his door and acting suspicious.”
n A pharmacy on Euclid Avenue told police that a guy “just came in and filled a prescription, then went out on the parking lot and sold it.”
n Someone called from the Bristol Mall to report four men “shoplifting at this time and he doesn’t feel comfortable approaching the males.”
n Someone reported that every few nights between midnight and 4 a.m. a “motorcycle races up and down Randolph Street.”

n Somebody went home for lunch around 1 p.m. and “unlocked the basement door to let the dog out for awhile.” As they left, “they locked the doors back which had several types of locking mechanisms.” They got home around 5:45 p.m. and found the basement door unlocked. Nothing was missing and “they have no idea who may have attempted to gain access into their residence.” n Police went to Fifth Street to check on “a man with a knife causing a disturbance.” A guy there told them the man with the knife “took a swing at him and pointed a knife at him.” The man was arrested “the knife was placed into evidence.”
Neighborhood Watch
n The Bursons Corner neighborhood watch will meet at 6 p.m. today at the Goodson-Kinderhook Volunteer Fire Department station on Benhams Road in Bristol, Va.
n The Eagle Ridge neighborhood watch will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at High Point Elementary School on Sinking Creek Road in Bristol, Va.
n The Fairmount Avenue neighborhood watch will meet at 2 p.m. Wednesday at 1211 Fairmount Avenue in Bristol, Va.
