Sept. 1
- An officer went to Rice Terrace “in reference to multiple noise complaints.” At first, he didn’t hear anything and was preparing to leave. Then a man “saw [the officer] sitting outside and decided to curse him.” The man was arrested.
- Somebody called from the Exit 7 off ramp to report a woman “begging money again with a sign stating she is pregnant.”
- A “young-looking” couple was seen climbing into the window of a Lee Highway apartment. A neighbor told police that “no one is supposed to be in that apartment.”
Bristol Tennessee Police Department
Aug. 29
- A guy got home from the park to find that his iPod and charger, worth $270, were missing. Then, “while looking for the iPod, he noticed that the screen on the window was partly open.” He said he probably left the window open.
Sept. 1
- A man called police to report that his wife stole money out of his account and likely “used the money to buy drugs in Virginia.” While both he and his wife put money into the account, he told police, he called his bank, cancelled the card and reported it stolen. Police “determined that since the parties are still married and both have mutual funds in the accounts, that this was a civil matter, not theft.”

- The Bursons Corner neighborhood watch will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the Goodson-Kinderhook Volunteer Fire Department station on Benhams Road in Bristol, Va.
- The Eagle Ridge neighborhood watch will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at High Point Elementary School on Sinking Creek Road in Bristol, Va.
- The Fairmount Avenue neighborhood watch will meet at 2 p.m. Wednesday at 1211 Fairmount Avenue in Bristol, Va.
