UPDATE: Howard Hawk Willis will go to trial in June. Today, Judge Jon Blackwood said the trial would begin June 14th in Jonesborough.
A jury will be selected the week of June 7th from Knox County. Those jurors will then come to Jonesborough for the trial.
In court, Judge Blackwood heard several new motions filed by Willis. Perhaps a sign of his no-nonsense attitude, the judge told Willis after May 1st, he can no longer file any more motions in this case.

The man accused of killing two Georgia teenagers in 2002 will appear in court today before a new judge. The already eight year-old case against Howard Hawk Willis will now be heard by Senior Judge Jon Kerry Blackwood of Knox County. Judge Blackwood is one of four senior judges in the State of Tennessee. The Tennessee Supreme Court occassionally orders him to preside over cases when other judges recuse them.
Earlier this month, Judge Lynn Brown recused himself from the case after Willis filed a $2 million lawsuit against the judge in federal court. In the suit, Willis claimed his 4th, 5th, 6th and 14th amendment rights were violated.
Willis is accused of killing Georgia newlyweds Adam Chrismer and Samantha Leming and storing their bodies in plastic bins in a Johnson City storage facility.
