A Kingsport woman died after a car crash in Hamblen County Tenn. Friday, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Corrina Steinmann, 42, was the passenger in a 1999 Ford.
Julia Steinmann, 18, was driving the Ford north on Interstate 81 – near mile marker 14. She left the road, crossed into the median, slid 88 feet, and crashed into a tree on the passenger side, THP said.
Corrina Steinmann died as a result of the impact.
Officers received the emergency call at 5:10 p.m.
Both women were wearing their seatbelts, THP said.
No charges will be filed.
