An Elizabethton man is charged with aggravated child abuse and statutory rape after he allegedly offered several young women drugs and alcohol in exchange for sex.
According to the Elizabethton Police Department they began an investigation into the statutory rape of a 13 year old by Timothy C. Krol, age 20, of Elizabethton The investigation revealed at least four encounters between late November through mid-December between the young woman in which Krol offered her a “controlled substance” and then would engage in sex with her, according to police reports.
The investigation later revealed that Krol provided a 14 year old with alcohol and then engaged her in sexual acts. A third 14-year-old victim was also located. Krol provided her with a controlled substance, reports say.
The case was presented on March 9 to the Carter County Grand Jury and Krol was arrested yesterday and charged with five counts of aggravated child abuse, five counts of statutory rape and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is currently in the Carter County Jail under a $100,000 bond.
