BRISTOL, Tenn. – Seven people were indicted Monday on a variety of drug distribution charges, including selling from a house near a city school. Five had been arrested by Tuesday evening.
Bristol Tennessee Police Capt. Charlie Thomas said officers are looking for the final two suspects and their names and additional details about the investigation will be released after their arrests.
According to a police department news statement on the indictments, the group’s drug of choice was dihydrocodeinone, a schedule II opiod generally prescribed for pain relief. Thomas said the indictments came after an investigation that lasted several months. They anticipate additional indictments shortly.
Those arrested:
* Pamela Smith, 47, is charged with sale of cocaine, delivery of cocaine, sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school, delivery of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school, sale of dihydrocodeinone within 1,000 feet of school, delivery of dihydrocodeinone within 1,000 feet of school, and sale of amphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school. She is being held at the Sullivan County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
* Tera Hamrick, 46, is charged with sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a city park, delivery of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a city park, sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school, and delivery of cocaine with 1,000 feet of a school. She is being held at the Sullivan County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
* Franklin David Greear, 39, is charged with sale of dihydrocodeinone within 1,000 feet of school, delivery of dihydrocodeinone within 1,000 feet of a school, two counts of sale of Adderall within 1,000 feet of a school, two counts of delivery of Adderall within 1,000 feet of school, sale of a counterfeit controlled substance, and fraudulently obtaining TennCare. He is being held at the Sullivan County Jail. n James McCracken, age unknown, is charged with sale of dihydrocodeinone and delivery of dihydrocodeinone. He bonded out of the Sullivan County Jail on Monday.
* His wife, Jay McCracken, 55, is charged with two counts sale of dihydrocodeinone, two counts of delivery of dihydrocodeinone, casual exchange of marijuana, sale of morphine, delivery of morphine, and sale of over a half-ounce of marijuana. She bonded out of the Sullivan County Jail on Tuesday.
