Sullivan County Executive Committee will meet in a special session Wednesday to discuss possible misuse of county funds by the Highway Department.
County Attorney Dan Street is investigating whether the County's Highway Department violated state law by digging a ditch for a water line on Graybeal Road in Bluff City.
Reed Booher owns several acres of property near the ditch and wants to build a subdivision there, but county law requires him to build a water line connecting the subdivision to Bluff City's water supply.
Street and several commissioners are now asking questions about the county's involvement with that water line. "How intentional it was, how deep does it go remains to be determined," said Street.
