A Johnson City man will appear in court today, after police say he went into an apartment and assaulted a woman.
Johnson City Police arrested Jacob D. Weems Tuesday. According to police, Weems walked into an unlocked apartment on South Broadway Street and beat up the woman who lives at the residence.
Police charged Weems with aggravated burglary, domestic assault, domestic vandalism and criminal trespassing.
Police didn't say what the possible motive may be or if he knew the victim.
